Harold Gimeno, AIA, a local Norman Architect well known for the Sooner Theatre and his Spanish Colonial Revivalist homes, designed this Renaissance Residence in 1940 as one of his later Spanish Residences. Brent Swift Design Build, in partnership with Gardner Architects, took on the challenge of re-designing and revitalizing this one-of-a-kind original home.
Reclaimed Calumet Stone and refurbished deep set steel frame windows anchor this project as a Historical Norman Residence. The parquet-patterned oak floors and large, dark wood ceilings contrast and bring out the brightness of the stucco white walls and sleek lines and trim. The focal point of the residence is the original, custom designed Maple door that is four layers thick and solidified with wrought iron bolting.
